A mining engineer is as a type of engineer who specialises in the design, development, and operation of a mine. A mining engineer’s job ranges from the pre-mining phase where they survey a site to see if it feasible to construct a mine, the construction a development of the mine whether it is an open cast operation or underground or both, the production phase where they are needed to asses the mines integrity for the safety of its workers and finally the rehabilitation of the mine, once all the ore has been mined out.
