Conservation scientists are responsible for implementing and carrying out programmes for the management and conservation of animal and plant populations and habitats. They conduct research both outdoors in the field and outdoors in a laboratory and study relationships between organisms and their environment or habitat, how plants and animals develop, grow and die, and what the best way is to conserve them. Conservation specialists works closely with institutions and organisations that rely on natural resources for their operations, helping them to organise their activities in a way that least damages the environment.
